Southern Railway Senior Resident Recruitment - Eligibility Criteria

Qualification: 

  • Candidates Must have a Post Graduate Degree /DM/DNB or Diploma in the specialty concerned from university recognized by State /Central Government.
  • If a candidate with a Post Graduate degree in a particular specialty is not available, MBBS doctors with at least 3 years of experience (including 1 year of junior residency in the same specialty) may be appointed for a period of one year. After that year, fresh selection will be made. Their tenure may be extended for one more year, up to a maximum of 3 years, only if no Post Graduate/Diploma/DM/DNB candidate applies in the next round of selection.

Age Limit:

  • PG Degree Holders: Maximum 33 years
  • Post-Doctoral (DM) Holders: Maximum 35 years

Age Relaxation: 

  • For SC/ST Candidates - 5 years
  • For OBC Candidates - 3 years

Southern Railway SR Recruitment - Salary Details

For Post Graduate Degree:

  • Rs. 67700 + 20% NPA in the first year
  • Rs. 69700 + 20% NPA in the second year
  • Rs. 71800 + 20% NPA in the third year

For PG Diploma:

  • This amount will be reduced by Rs. 325 per month, and for candidates without any PG Degree or Diploma, the reduction will be Rs. 650 per month.
